Duck Stuff: Tuesday Edition

■ Freshmen pitchers gave Oregon the win over Fresno St. 3-2 yesterday to earn the series split.

On Deck: The Ducks return to California for the Tony Gwynn Classic next weekend in San Diego. The Ducks will face UC Irvine on Friday at 1 p.m. at Fowler Field on the campus of the University of San Diego. The Ducks will play either San Diego or Notre Dame on Saturday. UO wraps up the tournament on Sunday and then plays San Diego in a non-tournament game Monday night at 6 p.m. at Fowler Field.

Duck Stuff: Monday Edition

Oregon baseball split a doubleheader at Fresno St. dropping the first game 8-3 then came back to win 13-1.

On Deck: The Ducks and Bulldogs (2-1) will wrap up their four-game series Monday night at Bob Bennett Stadium. Game time is 6:05 p.m.

■ Duck softball run-ruled Illinois 11-0 to close out the Mary Nutter Classic. The team is now 9-0 for the season.

Up Next: The Ducks have a quick turnaround, heading to Hawaii on Tuesday for games on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Duck Stuff: Sunday Edition

Oregon rocked Colorado 101-73 at Matthew Knight Arena on Senior Day. Adam Eberhardt has game photos.

Up Next: The Ducks kick off a three-game road trip that concludes the regular season at California on Wednesday (6 p.m., ESPN2).

■ The baseball team lost to Fresno St. 9-1 to start the season.

On Deck: Because of Friday night's rainout, the Ducks and Bulldogs will play a doubleheader on Sunday with the first game scheduled to start at 1:05 p.m. The Ducks will send a pair of sophomores to the mound with right-hander Matt Mercer getting the start in game one and lefty Cole Stringer going in the nightcap.

■ The softball team handed Cal Poly their first defeat winning 3-1 completing a six win sweep at the Kajikawa Classic in Tempe, AZ.

■ The softball team beat Virginia 11-6 and then took care of Creighton 8-0 yesterday to open the Kajikawa Classic.

Dillon Brooks has been named Pac-12 player of the week after his performance against the Arizona teams.

After scoring 27 points – including Oregon's final 12 – against Arizona State and 18 against Arizona, Brooks was named the Pac-12 Men's basketball player of the week for the third time of his career.
