■ Dillon Brooks has been named Pac-12 player of the week and national player of the week yesterday. Oregon also rose to #15 in the latest AP poll after beating USC and UCLA.
The 6-7 junior forward from Mississauga, Ontario, averaged 25.5 points on 60 percent shooting (18-of-30), 6.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game as Oregon opened Pac-12 play with home victories over previously unbeaten and nationally ranked teams UCLA and USC. The Ducks became the first team to defeat unbeaten and ranked conference opponents in back-to-back games since Kentucky in 2004.
