Duck Stuff: Sunday Edition

Oregon crushed Utah 88-57 to win the Pac-12 tournament in Las Vegas last night.

The Ducks (28-6) shot .516, with Tyler Dorsey scoring 23 points, Dillon Brooks adding 18 and Cook – the tournament’s MVP — adding 11. They also limited Utah to .432 by playing a zone defense that allowed them to flood passing lanes for 13 steals, and collapse on the post to limit Poeltl to 13 points in 27 minutes.

John Canzano makes his case for the Ducks getting a two-seed this afternoon on the Selection Sunday broadcast.

■ The softball team beat Sacramento St. 4-1 in the first game of a double header and then beat Pacific 11-0.

Up Next: The Ducks are scheduled to face Sacramento State in the final game of the Louisville Slugger Classic today at 10am weather permitting.

The baseball team lost to Mississippi St. 9-3 yesterday.

On deck: The Ducks and Bulldogs wrap up the series on Sunday at 8:30 a.m. (PT). David Peterson (2-0, 0.45) will take the mound for the Ducks.

Well, I'll take the basketball win for the baseball loss.
