Other highlights: The travel squad faced off in the first 11-on-11 period, and Royce Freeman got things going on the first rep when he paused in the backfield, shuffled a step horizontally and then burst into the second level. Later, he dodged Danny Mattingly in the backfield and got positive yards. … Tony Brooks-James had another long run, on the final play of the period, with Mattrell McGraw diving to save a touchdown on the play. … In between, Khalil Oliver ran with Brooks-James to knock away a deep pass, and Austin Maloata flushed Vernon Adams Jr. from the pocket, with the quarterback managing to run for a sizable gain...
