Duck Stuff: Saturday Edition

Rob Moseley has your first Alamo Bowl practice update.

With no scout teams designated yet, the travel squad guys went head-to-head quite a bit. In the first team period, Adams and Stanford had a couple nice connections, and Royce Freeman and Tony Brooks-James burst through the line and past the secondary for long gains. Defensively, Danny Mattingly did a nice job of stringing Taj Griffin outside and then wrapping him up, and later Kaulana Apelu came up and stopped Jarret LaCoste at the line of scrimmage.

■ David Lombardi talks about the key injuries for the Pac-12 this year and of course mentions Vernon Adams.

■ Andrew Nemec reports a big time QB prospect will be visiting the Ducks this weekend and a offensive lineman committed to the Ducks yesterday..
