Duck Stuff: Sunday Edition

Rob Moseley has your Saturday practice report.

Highlights: The most competitive period was 7-on-7, with the offense and defense going head-to-head. … Johnny Mundt made a nice adjustment to a ball from Vernon Adams Jr., turning back and plucking it out of the air above a defender’s head before chopping his feet to come down in-bounds. … Dwayne Stanford caught a short ball from Adams and outran two defensive backs to break free for a long run. Later in the period, Stanford adjusted to a ball from Taylor Alie that was slightly underthrown, and made a leaping catch before falling to the turf.

■ Joey Holland believes things are looking up for the secondary based on history.

■ Dale Newton has a midseason review.

In the coming weeks the Ducks can show they still have the formula and the commitment to be a quality football program. It starts with a challenging Thursday night road game on national TV.
