Duck Stuff: Thursday Edition

Rob Moseley has your Wednesday practice report and Mark Helfrich talked to the media after practice.

Nobody walked off the practice fields Wednesday on a bigger high than true freshman receiver Malik Lovette. On the final rep of the Ducks’ last practice before Thursday’s scrimmage, Lovette got behind the secondary in an overtime drill and hauled in a “game-winning” touchdown pass from Jeff Lockie...

■ Chantel Jennings says depth at the linebacker position is evident this year.

■ Tyson Alger and Andrew Greif talked with Bralon Addison (podcast) recently and the Pac-12 released the TV announcers for the Eastern Washington game.

■ Caleb Couturie says it doesn't matter where the Ducks use Charles Nelson, he is good on both sides of the ball.

Dale Newton is ready for some real football.

In a week we'll have real games, and this prediction stuff will get trampled like a dropped pom-pom during a run from the tunnel. The roar of the crowd and the roar of the Harley will drown out all this buzz and yap.
