Duck Stuff: Thursday Edition

■  Rob Moseley has your Thursday practice report.

HighlightsIn the final period of Wednesday morning’s practice, Royce Freeman explosively cut to avoid a defender in the backfield then burst through the line for a nice gain. A few reps later, he was bulling his way through the line, refusing to be taken down...

■ Andrew Greif says the defense is searching for the right mix of 3-4 or 4-3 linemen.

■ Chantel Jennings (along with many others) wonders if Vernon Adams' late start will show up in the QB rotation.

Samuel Marshall talked with Mark Helfrich yesterday after practice.

Four players for the Ducks were added to the Senior Bowl watch list yesterday.

■ Noah Smith former head coach Mike Bellotti is a forgotten hero.

Many people seem to think [Chip] Kelly took a burnt-out Pinto and turned it into a Corvette, when in fact, he only added rocket fuel to the Corvette. Bellotti built the backbone of the winning program that we have at Oregon, and perhaps his greatest contribution to the University of Oregon was hiring Kelly in the first place.
