Adams is slated to make his first UO start against the school from which he earned his undergraduate degree, when Eastern Washington visits Autzen Stadium on Sept. 5. The two-time Walter Payton Award runner-up as FCS player of the year threw for 3,483 yards and 35 touchdowns with the Eagles last season.

By all reports from those who saw practices, Adams is not only the best chance the Ducks have to win on a given day, but the best chance they have to win them all. He is a home-run hitter, and we're all left hoping that means he doesn't strike out too much.

For the Ducks, a lot of the time the formations and motion are just window-dressing, designed to challenge the defense’s eyes and get a playmaker open in space. The bulk of what they do is dead simple, a football approach that says, we can block your big guy and our fast guy is faster than yours.
