Duck Stuff: Monday Edition

Ken Goe believes the first game of the season against Eastern Washington will be more complicated than was originally thought.

Oregon plays Eastern Washington on Saturday, and the subplots are interesting. Adams transferred from EWU to Oregon for his final season of eligibility. He will start against his former team.

EWU is a very good FCS program, and the Eagles will have all kinds of incentive in this one.

■ Caleb Couturie has selected his all-underrated team for the defense this year.

■ Ryan Kostecka wonders if Royce Freeman will become the face of Oregon football this year.

■ Dale Newton says the Ducks will search for consistency while the Eagles will look to send a message on Saturday.

The Ducks have to find their rhythm and tempo, and learn to adjust when it’s disrupted. It’s up to Adams to lead them to consistency and find solutions when they’re in a jam. His predecessor was the best in the country at improvising and getting out of trouble.

Eagles don't stand a chance...not even close...we are not the fuskies or the beav-trash.
