Duck Stuff: Wednesday Edition

■ Kyle Bonagura takes a look at the Pac-12 running backs post-spring practice and has Oregon ranked first.

Losing quarterback Marcus Mariota is an obvious blow, but the conference’s top-ranked rushing offense returns three players with more than 1,000 career rushing yards in sophomore Royce Freeman (1,365), junior Thomas Tyner (1,284) and senior Byron Marshall (1,877). If the College Football Playoff games were an indication of what’s to come, Freeman and Tyner figure to split time, while Marshall, the Ducks' leading receiver in 2014, can fill in when called upon.

■ Jason Selby believes the OL unit will be just fine this year.

■ Steven Jackson says Vernon Adams will be out quarterback this fall.

Dale Newton believes the defensive line will be just fine this year.

■ Tyson Alger has all you need to know as the ladies take on the Wolfpack starting on Friday.

■ It took 11 innings but the Ducks won the season against the beavers last night with a 3-2 win.

The Ducks provided a big boost to their own RPI by beating the Beavers, who were No. 33 entering the evening. Oregon was at No. 72, and has a chance to further improve its stock against No. 3 UCLA this weekend.

Up Next: Oregon kicks off its series with the Bruins at PK Park on Friday (4 p.m., Pac-12 Networks).

GO DUCKS!
