Duck Stuff: Thursday Edition

■ David Lombardi has the Pac-12 post-spring rankings and has Oregon in the middle of the pack and then looks at transfer Matt Hegarty who should be able to help the team.

While all focus shined on Marcus Mariota and the Ducks' high-flying offense last year, it's easy to forget that Oregon's defense actually ranked second (23.6 points per game) behind Stanford in the Pac-12. True star power existed on both the defensive line and in the secondary, but the linebacking corps also did a solid job, and a number of grizzled veterans are returning there. Joe Walker, Rodney Hardrick, Tyson Coleman, and Christian French are all fifth-year seniors who should give Mark Helfrich a reliable backbone at the position.

■ Henry Swift takes a look back at the Joey Harrington years at Oregon.

■ Several Oregon athletic programs scored a perfect 1,000 APR for 2013-14.

■ Tyson Alger has all you need to know to watch/listen to the softball team in the WCWS and Andrew Greif announced three players from the team earned All-American honors.

■ Mitchell Tolman and Garrett Cleavinger earned Pac-12 all-conference honors yesterday and has all the news and notes as the baseball team starts playing Friday in the Springfield Regionals.
