Duck Stuff: Saturday Edition

■ Tyler Timm lists the reasons the Ducks can contend for a spot in the playoffs this year.

There are always going to be hurdles a team has to face throughout the course of a year, but how Oregon’s schedule stacks up opposed to other power five conference schools is very generous. The Ducks will be tested and will have to prove their worth to the College Football Playoff Committee, but as of now the odds seem to be on Oregon’s side.

■ After falling to UCLA in its opening game of the Women's College World Series, Oregon will meet Alabama in an elimination game at 11:30 AM PT on Saturday.

■ The baseball team dropped their Regional opener to Iowa 3-1 yesterday.

On Deck: Oregon faces the loser of the Springfield Regionals’ second game between No. 1 Missouri State and No. 4 Canisius on Saturday at 2 p.m. (PT). The Missouri State-Canisius game was rained out Friday night and rescheduled for 10 a.m. on Saturday.
