Duck Stuff: Saturday Edition

■ The Saturday Edge wonders if the football team will be better, worse or about the same in 2015.

I am betting big on the Ducks this year.  I expect the Ducks to reel in 11 wins during the regular season, with the most difficult matchup being at Michigan State week 2.  A late season matchup against USC comes at the perfect time, as the Ducks will look to cement its top dog status in the Pac-12.

■ Steve Olson takes a look at the question marks in Oregon for the 2015 football team.

■ Norm Hightower continues his "family day" series with an open letter about a longtime Duck football fan.

■ Jordan Ingram gives you three reasons the softball team will win the ultimate prize this year.

■ Rob Moseley says the adjustments at the plate secured the Oregon softball 4-3 win over North Dakota St. yesterday.

■ Oregon got had a ninth inning rally to topple Utah yesterday 8-3 to keep their playoff hopes alive.

On Deck: Oregon and Utah meet again in game two of the series on Saturday at 2 p.m. The Ducks will send freshman David Peterson (4-6, 4.80 ERA) to the mound, while Utah counters with junior Dalton Carroll (5-7, 4.90 ERA). There is an 80 percent chance of rain in the forecast.
