Duck Stuff: Friday Edition

■ Chantel Jennings has an Oregon football preview.

Mark Helfrich must somehow replace last year’s Heisman winner, QB Marcus Mariota, who accounted for 64 percent of the Ducks’ total offense. An opportune transfer may ease the pressure, but trips to East Lansing and Palo Alto make a return to the playoff all the more daunting.

■ David Lombardi previews the Pac-12 post-spring offensive line units and has Oregon fifth.

■ Oregon will play Michigan St. on Saturday Sept. 12th at 5:00pm local time on ABC the network announced yesterday.

■ Tyson Alger previews today's Super Regional softball game between Oregon and NC State.

■ Rob Moseley says Mitchell Tolman is setting the tone down the stretch and will look to stay hot as the Ducks host UCLA for three games starting today at 4pm.

Oregon has a chance to play itself into serious consideration for a postseason berth after wallowing through the middle part of the season, a comeback that owes a huge debt to Tolman’s improved discipline, both at the plate and in the dugout.

UCLA is so tough...if we can get two of three, that would be amazing!
