Duck Stuff: Morning Mud

Morning Mud
■ Kyle Bonagura says the Oregon defense is making all the difference.

"I'm most proud of our young men because they played their best game in their last game," first-year defensive coordinator Don Pellum said. "Sometimes you have a great game in the middle of the season and the rest of them are OK. They played their best when their best was needed and I'm the most confident about that."

Marcus Mariota (Heisman, Johnny Unitas), Hroniss Grasu (Rimington) and Mark Helfrich (coaches get salary bump) all received honors yesterday.

Ted Miller has all the Pac-12 Bowl games listed with Oregon leading the way.

■ Heather Dinich wonders if the College Football Playoff committee got it right with their selections.

Dale Newton lists the key to thriving the first College Football Playoffs.

Oh, I'm loving the thing though. After fans pay a butt-ton to go to the semifinal, I wonder if they're going to have a hard time getting fans to travel to the big game. Hmmm...expensive. I wonder if they'll eventually play the playoff games on home turf. That would be badass!
