Duck Stuff: Morning Mud

Morning Mud
Rob Moseley has your Wednesday practice report.

Other observations: This being a “no-sweat Thursday” at walk-through pace, there weren't many highlights to pass along. …. Aidan Schneider did connect on a 39-yard, one-shot field-goal attempt between stretch and individual drills to start the day. He then engaged in a pretty even period of field-goal kicking with Matt Wogan later in practice. … Ayele Forde blocked a punt the hard way during drills for the punt return team. Ball hit him square in the face mask.

■ Andrew Greif says the key to the Ducks' success is focusing on the next game, not on past losses or accomplishments. Greif also talks about Marcus Mariota and the Heisman.

■ Chantel Jennings says Charles Nelson has made the transition from special teams to a playmaker.

■ Ken Goe wonders if anyone besides a television programmer could love the Pac-12 Championship Game.

■ Joey Holland believes history show that Mariota and Oregon are the best of the best in 2014.

Caleb Couturie reports Ifo Ekpre-Olumu is ready to take on Arizona with a different outcome than their two previous meetings.

Don Pellum talks to the media about the Pac-12 Championship Game after  practice yesterday.

We can't be the best of 2014 unless we win the rest of our games...and that starts with Arizona, who beat us.

I'm starting to wonder if us having one less day to prepare will have an effect on the outcome. Hmmm...wish we had that extra day!
