Duck Stuff: Morning Mud

Morning Mud
Rob Moseley has your Monday practice report.

Highlights: By his own admission, Marcus Mariota was “not me” as a passer against Stanford, misfiring on several throws despite finishing a very respectable 19-of-30. There was zero carryover today in 7-on-7. He peppered the ball around to Dwayne Stanford, Pharaoh Brown, Charles Nelson, Byron Marshall and Evan Baylis. On the defensive field, Troy Hill had a great leaping interception, and Justin Hollins did a nice job on one rep of manning his zone and then coming up to make the stop on a screen pass.

■ Ken Goe warns of Oregon overlooking Utah. Jake Tabor also has an article with the same topic.

■ Marcus Mariota earned Pac-12 offensive player of the week honors for the second straight week.

■ Andrew Greif has a sneak peek at the Utah matchup and stopping one of their best players.

■ Michael Bigham has a player profile of Joe Walker.

Dale Newton says preparation was the difference in the Stanford win.

Who's overlooking Utah? That's silly talk.
