Duck Stuff: Morning Mud

Morning Mud
■ Andrew Greif reports preparation and not hitting the panic button are key to getting back on track.

"Have to give Arizona a ton of credit but there was a lot of stuff in this game that makes it that much more of a bitter pill to swallow in terms of self-inflicted wounds and some of the mistakes we made," he said. "Our effort was really good. Our execution, our discipline, a bunch of things that we control was not good enough. It was not good enough to play the schedule that we play and we need to play more cleanly in every phase."

■ Alex Towne wonders if the Ducks' success is hanging in the balance.

Ashley Young has a few words for all the doubters.

Oregon's loss on Thursday definitely put the playoffs in question but there are going to be many other upheavals (like yesterday) in the poll and no one can foresee the future.

■ We might have lost to AZ but we did pick up a nice verbal commitment from a defensive end after his official visit.
