Duck Stuff: Morning Mud

Morning Mud
Rob Moseley has your Monday practice report.

Byron Marshall had a second straight strong practice, reaching out to haul in a deep ball from Mariota at one point and knifing through the scout-team defense on a run later on. That said, Thomas Tyner and Royce Freeman had their moments as well; based on today it would be really hard to guess which guy will start Saturday.

■ Position battles continue as the two-deep was released yesterday.

■ Sean Meagher as Oregon in many of the top twelve Pac-12 games to watch this year.

■ Andrew Greif previews the South Dakota game coming up on Saturday.

■ Jason Quick says it's good to be Royce Freeman.

■ Who has the number one selling jersey in college football? Marcus Mariota.

■ Dale Newton says the Ducks are ready for this and you should be too.

This year’s Ducks have no barriers. They only have opportunities. It’s a tough, tough league, with great coaching and 10 returning starting quarterbacks. The PAC-12 plays nine conference games and a conference championship, and if they survive all that, they’d have to beat the likes of Alabama and Florida State in a two-week stretch.

Look Marcus Mariota and Ifo Ekpre-Olomu in the eye and tell them they can't do it.

GO DUCKS!

Getting through the Pac unscathed will be harder this year than any.
