Duck Stuff: Morning Mud

Morning Mud
■ Erik McKinney looks at how the Pac-12 QB recruiting race is going and here is what he says about Oregon.

Commitments: Travis Waller

Oregon may be able to turn any disappointment regarding its quarterback chase this year into a positive. Kyler Murray (Texas A&M), Blake Barnett (Alabama) and Deondre Francois (Florida State) were just three ESPN 300 quarterbacks to give the Ducks a serious look before committing elsewhere. Given the nature of the competition, that the Ducks were given serious consideration shows that they are officially among the nation's elite recruiting powers. Missing on Murray and Barnett hurts, but grabbing a commitment from Waller is meaningful.

Dale Newton projects the two-deep now that fall camp is behind us.
