Duck Stuff: Morning Mud

Morning Mud
Rob Moseley has your morning and afternoon practice reports.

MorningThere was also a bunch of red-zone work this morning, both in the tempo drill to start the day and the 7-on-7 periods. The offense got off to a hot start, which hasn't always been the case this month, with Mariota running for a touchdown in tempo and Lockie completing a scoring pass to Royce Freeman.

Afternoon:  Morgan Mahalak threw a couple TD passes in 1-on-1 drills in the red zone, while Tyree Robinson had an interception. Ekpre-Olomu, Juwaan Williams and Glen Ihenacho had pass breakups that caught my eye. Casey Eugenio made a nifty one-handed catch. … Lockie and Charles Nelson showed good chemistry during 7-on-7, connecting three times in a stretch of four plays.

Dale's right about execution...and it will shine greatly on Helfrich and his approach/control of the program. Sloppy play means sloppy coaching.
