Duck Stuff: Morning Mud

Morning Mud
■ Ted Miller is starting to review position groups for the Pac-12 and has Oregon at the top of the list for quarterbacks.

Junior Marcus Mariota is -- again -- a leading Heisman Trophy candidate and a two-time first-team All-Pac-12 performer. He would have been an early-round NFL draft pick this spring if he'd opted not to return. The Ducks have some questions at receiver though.

■ Phil Steele has Oregon sitting at #6 in his preseason countdown.

■ Dale Newton says there are only 66 days until football starts again and the opening game against South Dakota already has the Coyotes vowing to beat the Ducks. (sorry SD but that isn't going to happen anytime soon)

■ A few football players were among the Oregon athletes participating in a trip to Nicaragua recently that was unforgettable according to this O Heroes group.

GO DUCKS!
