Duck Stuff: Morning Mud

Morning Mud
Four star rated WR Alex Ofodile became the highest ranked 2015 recruit to verbally commit to Oregon yesterday.

Ofodile, the nation's fifth-ranked receiver and the son of former Baltimore Ravens tight end O.J. Ofodile, said the coaching staff, including head coach Mark Helfrich, offensive coordinator Scott Frost and receivers coach Matt Lubick, made his decision relatively easy.

■ Andrew Greif sat down with former DB Ryan DePalo to talk about the life of a walk-on player for the Ducks.

■ Jack Heffernan shares his thoughts on Marcus Mariota's Heisman bid.

■ Matt Takimoto shares the latest in the "20 in 20" series with the outstanding effort of Casey Matthews stripping Cam Newton back in the 2011 BCS Championship game.

■ Seth Prince talks about Taylor Hart joining the Eagles.

■ Duck baseball signee Alex Jackson officially signed with the Mariners yesterday.

The 18-year-old Rancho Bernardo High School (Calif.) star inked a $4.2 million contract with the Seattle Mariners on Monday, nearly a week after the No. 6 pick in the MLB Draft was reported to have agreed to terms with the team. (you win some and lose some)
