Duck Stuff: Morning Mud

Morning Mud
■ Arik Armstead says his focus on football is paying dividends.

"Just being around my team more in the weight room a lot more and trying to focus on getting stronger and, you know, just being in a football mind set for longer," he said. "That helps when you’re in a football mind set, just constantly thinking about getting better at football."

■ Dale Newton sees the potential in the receiving corps after watching the Spring Game.

Chantel Jennings wraps up spring practice for the Pac-12 North.

■ Nice piece on KEZI about the O Heroes latest community effort, a football camp for kids.

George Horton talks with the media after the Ducks too care of business at PK Park yesterday.

■ Shaun Chase's grand slam capped Oregon's 5-1 win for a weekend sweep of Arizona yesterday.

"It's always a shot in the stomach when someone gets intentionally walked in front of you," said Chase, who was 7-for-11 with three homers on the weekend. "It means they want to pitch to you instead of him. I was like, 'All right, I'm down with that."

GO DUCKS!
