Duck Stuff: Morning Mud

Morning Mud
■ Oregon backup quarterback Damion Hobbs will reportedly seek a transfer according to multiple sources.

Hobbs, a redshirt freshman, was a three-star recruit out of Cedar Hill High School (Texas) where he threw for 2,769 yards and 29 touchdowns his senior season.

■ Oregon softball advanced to the regional finals (today at 11am) with a 6-1 win over Wisconsin yesterday at Howe Field. Head coach Mike White talked to the media after the victory.

■ Jeff Gold got back on track to lead Oregon to a 4-1 over UCLA yesterday.

Gold got all the help he would need early in the game as the Ducks scored one run in the first and two more runs in the third. Tyler Baumgartner tripled to right center with one out in the first and came in to score on an infield RBI hit by Kyle Garlick to give UO a 1-0 lead.

Oregon, who won its first Pac-12 road series of the season with the victory, wraps up the three-game series with UCLA on Sunday. First pitch is at 12:05 p.m. and the game will be televised on the Pac-12 Networks.

GO DUCKS!
