Duck Stuff: Morning Mud
■ Chantel Jennings talks with defensive lineman Arik Armstead on the growth of the unit since 2013.
■ GoDucks, com previews the Spring Game and gives you all the information you will need for a fun filled Saturday.
The scrimmage also will be televised live on the Pac-12 Networks and broadcast on select Oregon IMG Sports Network radio affiliates, including KUJZ in Eugene (95.3 FM) and KXTG in Portland (750 AM).
Adding to the festivities will be the Ducks’ baseball team, which will entertain Arizona at 3 p.m. in PK Park.
■ Oregon football coaches received a hefty raise according to Tyson Alger.
■ Gar Pearson says one particular pitcher has been worth his weight in gold this season.
We weren't surprised that [Jeff] Gold, a red-shirt senior right handed pitcher for the Ducks’ and their Saturday starter, has been brilliant throughout the 2014 baseball season, with a record of 9-0 prior to Saturdays’ start, an earned run average of 2.30 in 74 innings of work, 50 strikeouts against 7 walks and a batting-average-against of a lowly .209! That is quality pitching!
