Duck Stuff: Morning Mud

Morning Mud
Andrew Greif starts a new segment at the Oregonian called the "NFL Diary" and has Taylor Hart up first as he prepares for the combine and recovers from an injury.

Every few weeks, Hart -- a Tualatin native -- will discuss what it's like to endure a five-month job interview that begins with early training, continues with the NFL scouting combine and university "pro days" and goes through draft day. Hart finished his Oregon career on Dec. 30 with a 30-7 victory against Texas in the Alamo Bowl that finished a season where he shared team co-MVP honors.

■ Chris Charbonnier says that with national signing day less than a week away expect the unexpected.

■ Here is a closer look at Oregon commit Jalen Jenks.

Why Duck fans should be excited: The possibilities for the next four years are tantalizing considering how far Jalen Jelks came in the previous four.

Amid preparation for the final football game of his prep career, Jelks laughs over the phone at just the thought of his high-school transformation.

“As soon as spring ball came around I noticed a big difference in my game,” he said.

GO DUCKS!

That was an interesting recruiting article. I'm glad those guys are out there gathering information...I like paying attention the last week...just not the whole year. Word.
