Duck Stuff: Morning Mud

■ ESPN game of the week promo is featured today.

Rob Moseley has your Tuesday practice report.

Oregon’s walk-through two days prior to a game features work on offense, defense and all phases of special teams. That includes kickoffs, which could be of particular importance Thursday at Stanford.

Getting the ball deep into the end zone against Stanford on Thursday will be Matt Wogan’s goal when kicking off.

“This week has been my best week of kickoffs,” Wogan said. “So I'm so ready for it. I can't wait.”

■ Oregon is mentioned numerous times in this edition of the Pac-12 stat attack.

Ken Goe likes Oregon's confidence heading into the big game on Thursday.

■ Byron Marshall is a star off the field as well as on it. Nice story.

■ Justin Wise has a quick Q&A with Nick Aliotti.

Tyson Coleman is starting to make some noise at the linebacker position.

■ Marcus Mariota just continues to improve according to the head coach.

“I think it all starts with his approach,” Mark Helfrich said. “Going into his second season, he has a great desire to get better. He’s the type of guy you want to be around as a coach. Not just because of his ability, but because he comes to compete every single rep of every single day. He wants to win every one-on-one. Every rep he takes, he wants to maximize it. To have your marquee guy have that mentality is contagious.

“The biggest thing he’s done is develop an overall command-and-control type of leadership from a knowledge standpoint and an execution standpoint in our offense. He’s developed a ton as a leader.”

Pretty cool pump-up video by ESPN. I'm looking forward to watching the pregame as well.
