Duck Stuff: Morning Mud

Morning Mud
Rob Moseley has your Tuesday practice report.

Highlights: Tyner had a couple of long, breakaway runs during 11-on-11 drills, and a sweet one-handed catch during one-on-ones in the red zone. … De'Anthony Thomas also was really explosive today, a good sign should Marshall’s issue linger. … Matt Wogan began the day with a made field goal, but Mark Helfrich had awarded the defense a time out just before the snap. Wogan had to kick it again, from 44 yards out, and made it again. …

During a period heavy on run plays, DeForest Buckner, Taylor Hart, Rahim Cassell and Danny Mattingly all came up with stops. … Buckner, Hart and Arik Armstead also stood out in pass-rush drills, as did Hamani Stevens, Jake Fisher and Andre Yruretagoyena on offense.

■ Justin Wise sat down with Taylor Hart and talked about his role as a leader and playing his last game at Autzen Stadium. has your weekly football release posted for the Civil War.

Marcus Mariota is good to go against the beavs.

■ Erik Skopil says the Ducks want more out of this season than a loss against the beavs.

■ Matt Takimoto @ATQ says it was just one game, have a little faith Duck fans.

■ Dale Newton likes Oregon's latest commit, DE Henry Mondeaux out of Jesuit H.S. in the Portland area. (That's right, I don't even link city names that contain that dreaded phrase.)

Thinking about going to the Oregon vs Cal game next year? Make your travel plans now.

The Golden Bears announced Tuesday that they will host the Ducks on a Friday night next season, Oct. 24, 2014. The game will be nationally televised by either ESPN or FOX, and will be played at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., the new home venue for the San Francisco 49ers as of next season.
