Duck Stuff: Morning Mud

Morning Mud
Rob Moseley has your Friday practice report.

Scout-team scrimmage highlights: I’d mention that Danny Mattingly blew up a pass play with a blitz up the middle, but you’re probably tired of hearing his name in this space day after day. No? More Mattingly? … Couple nice moments for the quarterbacks. Damion Hobbs reached the end zone twice on keepers, and Taylor Alie rolled to his left then threw back across the field into the end zone. … Juwaan Williams has been primarily a cornerback, but he took some safety reps this morning. Typical broadening of a young player’s skill set, I presume.

■ Ryan Kostecka previews today's game.

Andrew Greif has five things to watch for in today's game at Tuscon.

Dale Newton has your keys to the game.

■ Glenn Ihenacho out of Gardena, CA committed to the Ducks Thursday night after visiting for the Utah game last weekend.

Molly Blue has fond memories of the battle with Arizona back in 2009.

■ I believe the spread on the Oregon-Arizona game is somewhere in the vicinity of 20 points in Oregon's favor but I will go out on a limb here and say Oregon 56 - Arizona 24.

■ Ted Miller wonders did you know?

Oregon QB Marcus Mariota has an FBS-high 93.0 opponent-adjusted QBR. That is on pace to be the third-highest mark in the last 10 seasons after Andrew Luck (94.5 in 2010) and Russell Wilson (94.2 in 2011).
