Duck Stuff: Morning Mud

KEZI shares their game recap video from the local newscast. Little bit of a shaky start and then the Ducks rolled as Oregon wins 57-16.

■ A lot of good coverage for our first Pac-12 road game so let's get going with the stories: Steve Summers said the Ducks rolled to an easy victory; Ken Goe says the road will now get tougher; Andrew Greif noted the bend but don't break defense; Jason Quick says the scariest thing is how the Ducks can get better; Lindsey Tucker has the recap from the ODE; Dale Newton says the Ducks stomped the Buffaloes; Nathan Roholt notes the slow start and then the rout; Rob Moseley has a postgame notebook and quotes from the win; ESPN and round out the coverage.

■ Michael Arellano and Taylor Wilder have photos as well as the Oregonian.

Colt Lyerla didn't travel to Colorado because of a one game suspension for violating team rules.

Kevin Gemmell says Oregon and Stanford are a cut above in the Pac-12.

Oregon, meanwhile, looks unstoppable -- and its blowout win over Tennessee last month looks even better after the Vols pushed Georgia to overtime Saturday. Marcus Mariota looks every bit the Heisman frontrunner after setting a career high with seven touchdowns (five in the air, two on the ground) against an improved, but still lower-tier Buffs team. The Ducks poured on 755 yards of total offense -- the second highest total in school history (the record is 772, which they got this year in the season opener against Nicholls State).

I'll have my highlight video posted later today on YouTube and here so stay tuned.
