Duck Stuff: Morning Mud

KEZI details the 42-14 Oregon victory.

■ It certainly was a dominant defensive second half for Oregon, a good tuneup for the Stanford game on Nov. 7.

Let's get started on all of the game stories: Andrew Greif liked Byron Marshall's effort; Jason Quick called it an inspiring second half effort (w/photos); Steve Summers liked the fake punt call early in the game; Robby Boydstun was also impressed with the defense; Rob Moseley liked how Byron Marshall stepped up and has a post game notebook plus a story on the defense; John Canzano has a nice piece on Nick Aliotti (good read); Chris Charbonnier called it a defensive domination; Mark Schlabach says Oregon's defense is ready for prime time; Dale Newton liked the defensive effort in the second half and has thought on what we learned; stories from the New York Times, ESPN and round out the coverage.

■ Michael Arellano, Taylor Wilder, and Andrew Seng share some photos from the game.

I will be back later today with a highlight video so stay tuned.

He pulled himself in the second half...felt his ankle wasn't quite right yet... high ankle sprains take a long time to fully heal...
