Duck Stuff: Morning Mud

Morning Mud
Rob Moseley has your Wednesday practice report.

On Oregon’s final heavy work day in preparation for Saturday night’s visit by Washington State, running back De’Anthony Thomas said he “practiced a little bit” in his continuing recovery from an ankle injury.

Thomas said he was “out there doing little drills and having fun,” and had “come a long way” in his recovery. But he declined to project his status for the game against the Cougars.

“I just want to let it heal well, and not rush to get back out there,” he said.

■ Jason Quick believes DT Wade Keliikipi seems to be heating up as the days get colder.

Andrew Greif says the defense is looking forward to the challenge of WSU's "air raid" attack.

Chris Charbonnier likes what he sees in the 2014 recruiting class so far.

■ Dale Newton takes exception to Aaron Fentress' assertion that if the Ducks don't win a title this year it's because they "choked."

■ Rob Moseley points out the national spotlight is on the Ducks and Marcus Mariota midpoint through the season.

■ The must see venue to watch a game if you're a college football fan? Kirk Herbstreit believes that would by none other than our Autzen Stadium.

What are the stadiums that have left you in awe and that you suggest every football fan to visit?"...

"I would say going to Autzen Stadium [at University of Oregon] in Eugene, Ore. It’s a great atmosphere. It’s not quite as big as some of the other stadiums, but it is absolutely crazy."

You know it, Herbie. And DAT won't be risking anything against WSU. Word.
