Duck Stuff: Morning Mud

Morning Mud
Oregon is the odds on favorite to win the Pac-12 North according to Dr. Saturday.

1. Oregon +100

"I believe Oregon and Stanford are a toss-up in the North and the winner of their November 7th showdown in Palo Alto most likely wins the division. However, Oregon’s overall conference schedule is much easier than Stanford’s, so I understand why the Ducks have such low odds and are favored to win the division."

■ Some more watch list love for Hroniss Grasu, Tyler Johnstone and Boseko Lokombo.

Ted Miller started his preseason position reviews and starts with quarterback where you'll find Oregon in "great shape."

"Marcus Mariota, a sophomore, is among the best returning quarterbacks in the nation and a leading Heisman Trophy candidate. He's also got a strong supporting cast to make him look good."

■ Chris Charbonnier likes what he sees in TE Evan Baylis.

"Even if Colt Lyerla leaves after this next season to enter the 2014 NFL draft, the Ducks are in good hands with a guy like Evan Baylis waiting in the wings."
