Duck Stuff: Morning Mud

Rob Moseley and Erik Skopil have some notes about the practice yesterday.

Rob: Helfrich was asked today about the receiving corps. Just like new position coach Matt Lubick at the end of last week, Helfrich mentioned two guys in particular, senior Josh Huff and sophomore Bralon Addison.

"We've got a good competition going there," Helfrich said. "There's a lot of guys doing different things. Bralon Addison has been excellent so far this spring, practicing better than he ever has before. Josh Huff has continued to play really well. And there's a bunch of guys scratching and clawing."

Erik: After watching film of Tuesday's scrimmage, Oregon head coach Mark Helfrich reiterated what he said following it Tuesday.

"We did some good things," he said. "We didn't do anything great. It was fairly evenly matched. Both sides did some good things, both sides did some things that got corrected the past two days."

It was made official yesterday at a ceremony in Salem. Eugene will again be the host for the 2016 Olympic track and field trials at Hayward Field.

"We will accept this seriously and we will do everything within our energy and our power to take the passion that defines TrackTown USA and make it into something even better than it was in 2012," Vin Lananna said.
