• Oregon beat Washington in OT last night 80-77 to advance to the semis where they will take on #10 seed Utah. The game is at 8:30 pm local time tonight.
• Ted Miller is asking readers to select the most irreplaceable player in the Pac-12 North and last time I checked Dion Jordan was leading the voting.
The Ducks have a few holes they need to replace on defense. But when Jordan was healthy, he was arguably the most disruptive player on Oregon's defense. He's projected as a top 10 pick.
• Ryan Clanton has been building up his body and his resume while getting ready for a shot at playing in the NFL.
Clanton, a 13-game starter at guard last season, spent the winter as an intern with Hoffman Construction. The Portland-based firm has worked on a number of Oregon’s recent athletics facility projects, including the new football operations center that is slated to open in July.
Until his internship ended Monday, Clanton spent four hours a day on the job site, doing everything from manual labor to office work. The rest of the day, he focused on a different sort of construction effort — building up his body in preparation for a shot with an NFL team.
