Duck Stuff: Morning Mud

• Josh Huff is happy, healthy and confident heading into the Fiesta Bowl.
"In the meeting room, he (receiver coach Scott Frost) teaches us things receivers aren't supposed to know, like how we can know what defense their in just being how the defensive line is lined up. Receivers know basically the whole playbook and why we're running the play and when we're supposed to get the ball. It's ridiculous crazy how much he brings to the game, to the receivers and how he helps us focus on (more than) just our plays and the routes we run."

The Oregon Daily Emerald grades Oregon and K-State's linebackers. Advantage Oregon. They also have a sneak peek at the Fiesta Bowl jerseys.

• Two Oregon players won't make the Fiesta Bowl trip for being academically ineligible.

• The Ducks are ranked sixth in the Collegiate Baseball Preseason poll and Jimmy Sherfy has been named a Louisville Slugger Preseason All-American.

Matt Prehm looks at all the latest football recruiting news.

• Backup QB Bryan Bennett says he will be ready, for any role, if needed in the Fiesta Bowl.

Offensive coordinator Mark Helfrich said Bennett has been an "invaluable" leader for Oregon's young offense. "I can't express enough how great he's been through this whole deal," Helfrich said.

GO DUCKS!
