Duck Stuff: Morning Mud

Morning Mud
• Justin Einhorn has a Fiesta Bowl preview.

The best postseason matchup besides the BCS title game certainly appears to be the Fiesta Bowl on Jan. 3, when Collin Klein and the seventh-ranked Wildcats will try to keep up with the high-powered offense of the No. 5 Ducks.

Oregon, which is facing the Wildcats for the first time, is making an eighth consecutive bowl appearance and fourth straight in a BCS game after winning last season's Rose Bowl.

• Adam Jude reports on the practice schedule plans which include the start of preparing for K-State in earnest today.

• Josh Schlichter breaks down what to expect from Collin Klein and the magic of Bill Snyder.

Mark Flores has all the latest recruiting news.

Senior Kyle Long will play his last college game in the Fiesta Bowl after being denied another year of eligibility by the NCAA.

• Ted Miller notes that according to Phil Steele Oregon had the 48th toughest schedule.

The (way too) early-bird 2013 preseason rankings find Oregon in the number five spot.

• Takimoto @ATQ hands out hypothetical hardware and I really liked this one:

The Fat Guy Hustle Award - Jake Fisher: He scored a touchdown. Wait, let me rephrase: he chased De'Anthony Thomas fifty yards down the field, arrived at the endzone at roughly the same time, and was there to fall on the ball after DAT fumbled at the 1-yard line. That's true fat guy hustle.

GO DUCKS!
