Duck Stuff: Morning Mud

Morning Mud
• Bob Clark wonders if this is 2001 all over again.

A home loss to Stanford cost Oregon the opportunity to play in the national championship game.

The consolation prize was a trip to the Fiesta Bowl, to play the Big 12 champion.

Yes, it’s all familiar to the Ducks on that 2001 Oregon football team, who themselves had a one-loss season that left them relegated to a game in Arizona instead of the national title game, so very similar to the fate of the current Oregon team.

Kenjon Barner talks with ESPN about playing in the Fiesta Bowl.

Kiko Alonso and Kenjon Barner accepted an invitation to play in the Senior Bowl on Jan. 26 in this report.

• Dion Jordan made it onto the Pro Football Weekly All-America team.

Kalon @ATQ isn't concerned with one of the statistical methods when it comes to the Fiesta Bowl. He see an Oregon victory.

I think K-State will score and will keep pace for a time, but only a time. I think Oregon will likely come out a smidgen slow as well and be down a bit in the game. But I think Oregon will come back, overtake KSU, and win and cover.

GO DUCKS!

I just really don't know how to proceed with the game prediction...with two explosive teams, it could go so many ways. It's fun to process though!
