Duck Stuff: Morning Mud

Morning Mud
• Rob Moseley notes the first four practices have largely been getting back to the fundamentals.

For the Ducks, the four workouts that concluded Monday involved very little game-planning for their Jan. 3 matchup with Kansas State.

“You don’t want to dive in to something and not have your fundamentals with you,” senior linebacker Michael Clay said. “Fundamentals will save you when it’s late in the fourth quarter and you’re tired.”

The Ducks have three days off, and will resume practicing Friday. UO coach Chip Kelly said coaches would begin installing the game plan this week.

Attendance was down 3% for Oregon this season according to this report.

• Aaron Fentress compares the different approaches taken by Marcus Mariota and Collin Klein in operating the offense.

Mark Flores has all the latest recruiting news.

Kenjon Barner was named to The Sporting News All-America team as a RB on the first team and made the second team in the AP's All-America team.

Sophomore cornerback Ifo Ekpre-Olomu also was honored today by the AP, earning third-team all-American status.

Attendance was down 3%, but with a 30% hike in prices, I'd say the UO didn't actually feel our perspective. Any maybe they shouldn't. It is a big business.
