Duck Stuff: Morning Mud

KEZI shares their late news broadcast as the Ducks roll to a 62-51 record setting performance.

• Last nights game should have opened a few pollsters eyes and perhaps the BCS computers will be impressed as well. We'll see how that plays out later today. On with the game coverage stories.

Rob Moseley called it an electrifying win; Aaron Fentress said it was a BCS statement game; Ted Miller believes Barner should be in the Heisman discussion; Adam Jude notes the defense did just enough; Matt Walks called it a barn burning win; Bob Clark was impressed with Mariota's pinpoint passing and says the defense did just enough; Steve Summers called it an offensive showcase; the staff provide their usual great coverage; John Canzano called it a heavyweight boxing match and wants to see both teams again in the Pac-12 Championship game (must read); and ESPN round out the coverage.

Thomas Boyd and the ODE staff took some great photos at the game.

• Gene Wojciechowski @ESPN has an apology for Oregon.

Hi. I'm the computer component of the BCS standings and, well, I'd like to apologize to Oregon.

Luckily for us, Oregon doesn't hold a grudge. Reporters tried asking big-picture, BCS-type questions to Kelly, Clay, Barner -- you name it -- but none of the Ducks ripped our algorithms. They also didn't campaign for more votes in the polls.

"I don't really care because we're 9-0," Aliotti said. "Really, that's the best answer, we're 9-0."
