Duck Stuff: Morning Mud

Morning Mud
• Football news always slows down as the regular season ends but recruiting news picks up. Rob Moseley takes a look.

Justin Hopkins, co-publisher of DuckTerritory.com, which closely follows UO recruiting, said the staff is in a critical period of assessing where they stand with their top remaining targets. This past Sunday, following the team’s postseason awards banquet, Oregon’s assistant coaches headed out on the road to visit many of those recruits, after which the staff will decide which to continue pursuing, and which to move on from.

The fact the Ducks have yet to stop recruiting many of those players is a sign of the staff’s confidence, Hopkins thinks.

• Who would you rather play in the Fiesta Bowl? Current favorite is Florida in this poll.

Never too early to talk about 2014 bowl scenarios and Oregon is mentioned in the final four scenario.

Oregon, which made the "Final Four," against Notre Dame, with the winner to face the other semifinal winner, Alabama or Florida, for the national title.

GO DUCKS!
