Duck Stuff: Morning Mud

Rob Moseley interviews Marcus Mariota and Bryan Bennett. They discuss the summer workout sessions and preparing for fall camp and the inevitable competition between each other.

Kenjon Barner has been named on the Doak Walker Award watch list given each year to the nation's top running back.

John Canzano lays out his 10 through 4 spots for the top 25 most influential people in Oregon Sports where you will find Aston Eaton (10), Rob Mullens (9) and Chip Kelly (4) on the list.

• Josh Schlichter wonders how you can top the best?

Darron Thomas, who is properly known as the best statistical quarterback in Oregon’s history, and a masterful manager of the no-huddle offense.

Whoever it may be (Bennett or Mariota,) the next Oregon quarterback will be expected to do great things, and take the next step in the development of Chip Kelly’s masterpiece.

Ted Miller and Steve Summers preview the safety and offensive line positions.

Miller on the safeties: (great shape): Boyett is slated to be a rare four-year starter. Not only has he been very good for the Ducks, he's improved every year. Replacing Eddie Pleasant is the biggest challenge for the Ducks defense, but Brian Jackson and Avery Patterson both have plenty of ability, as does Erick Dargan.

Summers on the OL: Last season the Oregon Ducks scored 645 points, averaging 46.1 points per game. The Ducks amassed 7,319 yards, 522.8 ypg and a 7.2 ypp average. There are really no other statistics that can gauge the performance of an offensive line, those will have to do -- and those aren't bad numbers at all!
