LaMichael James was in town yesterday hosting a fundraiser for a local high school student who was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Video courtesy of KVAL.

Ted Miller has a piece (with video) on hope and concern for the Ducks. Chief hope, defense. An area of possible concern, the passing game with a new starting QB and unproven receivers.

• Brandon P. Miller says the Oregon recruits have done nothing to hurt their reputation during the late spring and summer and they maintain their ESPN 300 rankings.

Rob Moseley keeps us up to date on the latest awards watch list announcements.

John Boyett and Dion Jordan were named Thursday to a second watch list for an award honoring college football's defensive player of the year, and Carson York also has been named to an award's preseason watch list.

Boyett and Jordan were two of the 84 players named to the watch list for the Bronco Nagurski Award on Thursday...Carson York made the watch list for the Outland Trophy, which is awarded by the FWAA to the nation's best interior lineman.

GO DUCKS!
