Duck Stuff: Morning Mud

Morning Mud
• First off, Happy 4th of July to everyone out there.

Looking for an early glimpse at the probable star of the 2012-13 football season? Odds are favorable it will be the defense as Brandon P. Oliver reports.

2012 looks like the season it all comes together up front for the Ducks. The depth, size and talent are at an all-time high in Eugene, as key returners are back for another go around and a number of impact newcomers will be entering the fold.

Mark Flores @FishDuck.com has his weekly recruiting update ready for you to peruse.

• Kevin Gemmell has a week one Pac-12 North primer ready for your enjoyment. First up for the Duck is Arkansas St.

Did you know: Arkansas St. Head Coach (first year) Gus Malzahn won the Broyles Award -- which goes to the nation's top assistant coach -- for his work with Auburn and their title run in 2010-2011. Not that a win would make Oregon feel better for what happened in the title game, but hey, it can't hurt.

• Jon Wilner answers readers questions regarding specific coverage concerns regarding the new Pac-12 TV Network. Sounds pretty good if you are a Comcast customer in your favorite team's viewing area. Otherwise, there is a lot of grey area.

GO DUCKS!
