Duck Stuff: Morning Mud

Coach Horton talks about the three other teams heading to Eugene for the Regional games being held that start Friday. Video courtesy of KVAL. gives you all the details of how the Regional matchups break down in Eugene starting Friday.

Number one seed Oregon will face No. 4-seed Austin Peay (38-22) on Friday. Austin Peay has won back-to-back Ohio Valley Conference tournament and regular season championships. No. 2-seed Cal State Fullerton (35-19), the 2012 Big West champions, will face No. 3-seed Indiana State (41-17) in the other Regional contest that day. Each of 16 NCAA Regionals features a four-team, double-elimination format.

Here is Friday's schedule:

Eugene Regional Schedule
Friday, June 1 (Day 1)
2:00 p.m.    Game 1 – #2 Cal State Fullerton vs. #3 Indiana State
6:00 p.m.    Game 2 – #1 Oregon vs. #4 Austin Peay

Jerod Young notes it has been quite some time since the softball team has made it to the College World Series.

Now that the rough series against the Longhorns is behind them, Oregon must prepare for a much bumpier ride to face a familiar foe, joining the other seven Super Regional advancing teams for the Women’s College World Series in Oklahoma City,  starting in just two days.

Oregon’s first round opponent will be fellow Pac-12 squad Arizona State, the #3 seed and returning NCAA champion.

Wow...Oregon sports just dominating, all around. I bet you couldn't find a more successful sports program in the country than Oregon right now. We're killin' it!
