Kelly said he saw Bennett the Monday after the spring game, and thought the quarterback "was fine."

"There's not much we can do about the game in the past," Kelly said. "Get in, watch some film. We're in that part of the offseason. I saw him in there watching tape and getting ready for camp coming up. Everything's a good learning experience, and it was a good learning experience for Bryan to go through."

The award annually recognizes a defensive player from around the nation who displays both exceptional football skills and character.

From Jimmie Sherfy earned his 13th save of the season, keeping the game-tying run at second in the top of the ninth as the No. 9 Ducks defeated No. 23 Oregon State 3-2 on Tuesday night at PK Park.

Oregon returns to action at 2 p.m., Saturday to host a three-game series against USC.
