Duck Stuff: Morning Mud

Morning Mud
David Melo @FishDuck.com looks back at Keith Lewis who had a stellar career at Oregon playing safety.

U of O officials confirmed that the season opener on Sept. 1 against Arkansas St. will remain a Saturday game.

As I mentioned yesterday, De'Anthony Thomas will be showing his running skills when he takes to the track at Hayward Field on Saturday.

Thomas, a freshman all-American in football, is scheduled to make his collegiate track debut for the Ducks as the anchor of the 4x100 relay at the Oregon Twilight meet at Hayward Field.

“I think he’ll do a good job over 100 meters,” Lananna said. “But he hasn’t run (track) in two years, so we’ll see how it goes ... we’re excited about having him out. I hope he has some fun doing it.”

The UO Twilight Meet begins at 5 p.m.

Was the decision of Darron Thomas to declare for the NFL draft a good idea? At, least one observer has doubts..

• John Canzano shares two of his audio podcasts as he talks with Lavasier Tuinei and Darron Weems.

• The baseball team got out of a 9th inning bases load jam, as Jimmie Serfy earned his 12th save with a 8-7 victory last night in Spokane against Gonzaga.

GO DUCKS!
