Yes, the Ducks have overcome personnel issues before on offense and continued on without a hitch. But perhaps never so many questions at so many positions, all at once.
Does anybody out there fear this could be a season in which the Oregon offense finally experiences some sustained struggles under Chip Kelly? Is this the season the Ducks actually don't threaten to lead the nation in scoring or rushing yards? Or is everybody convinced it will be business as usual?
• I'll have another quick LMJ video later today inspired by an idea from QuackAttack.
• Aaron Fentress says the looming battle over the kicking position offers intrigue to spring practice.
The big question for UO is at placekicker where Beard and Maldonado will start phase one of their competition. Beard owned the job until a leg injury in the season opener against LSU sidelined him for several weeks. He returned later in the season to resume kickoff duties but was not reinserted as the primary placekicker. That honor went to Maldonado, who made 7 of 12 attempts.
GO DUCKS!
